People seek what you call "creeping socialism" because they no longer trust that if they get an education and work hard they will be able to support their families. Companies are now too quick to lay-off employees at the slightest hint of an economic bump.

I believe in free enterprise. Unfortunately it is not practiced by our “captains of industry” who seek unfair advantage through political manipulation. Wall Street should not have been bailed out. If their wild bets paid off they would have kept the profits.

This is a false question. Yes, exec pay is out of control. But, the market NEVER decides exec pay level. They simply take what they can.

The problem with GM is that when they drop a division, they drop the entire division. They don't save any "good" cars from the brand so they continue their hit and miss poor mix.

Buick is the boring "Poor Man's" Cadillac. Pontiac still had some ways to go but was definitely making progress. So GM drops the sporty car division.
